I still buy CD's because I get what I pay for and its easy to move its content to any device of my choice. Also, with so much content available its not financially feasibile to pay for it all, I only have so many hours in a day to watch/ listen to it all anyway . I pay for my internet, my cable, my rent my computer and now I also have to spend money on content. A lot of companies also don't concider how much larger their demographic becomes because of the ability to share content so freely what is sometimes labelled "illegal" is usually nothing more than exposing others to new media which in a lot of cases the media part is only a portion of that companies revenue, as usually there is additional merchandise for sale (hats tshirts etc) I've discovered countless new bands and artists this way and in some form or another I spent money be it on a tshirt cd concert ticket etc. We are funneling our media and these laws will only harm large companies, because no one wants for something they might not like.
